I adore Malaysia and have spent several months there during my travels in Asia. Although you could spend as little as 2 weeks in Malaysia, it depends how long you have. 

As well as Kuala Lumpur, I loved Melaka in the south of Malaysia, Ipoh in the centre and Penang island off the west coast. Throw in islands like Langkawi and the Perenthians and you’ll never get sick of Malaysia. The incredible Malay food also helps!
