I was lucky enough to spend a few months living in Split. Highlights included taking day trips to the islands of Vis, Brac, Hvar and Korcula, visiting the incredible Krka Waterfalls and simply soaking up the idyllic Old Town… and climbing Marjan Hill every morning before work!

I’ve also visited Dubrovnik several times, spent a week in Zagreb and travelled around from Zadar to the heavenly Istrian peninsular. 

To summarize, I adore Croatia, The only downside is how seasonal it is: over the winter months, most things are closed, while the summer sees crippling overtourism. Shoulder season is the way to go!
